With the World Cup now drawing to a close, we bring you the final World Cup Team Of The Week. Look out next week for our special Team Of The Tournament.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's stunning strike against Uruguay has seen him force a place in the side. Fellow countryman Wesley Sneijder's recent run of form means he was a natural choice. The Inter playmaker has been enjoying the season of his life, winning all competitions, can he make it one more win for the ultimate prize?
It's not just the forwards who have been in form though, Spain's organisational and defensive prowess has seen both holding midfielders find a place in our line-up. Xabi Alonso and Sergio Busquets have been included over the likes of Xavi and Iniesta; their solid defensive and passing displays have been first class in recent games.
Carles Puyol has a long been a favourite of Spanish fans but his 73rd-minute header against the Germans will have surely secured his place in the hearts of every Spanish fan for years to come.

All these players are now available in Gold Packs in FIFA 10 Ultimate Team. Good luck!
GK - HOL - Maarten Stekelenburg - 79 (83)
The underrated Ajax keeper has found a rich vein of form during this World Cup, seeing his stock rise. Overall his statistics have risen though a few handling blips have reduced his handling rating.
LB - HOL - Giovanni van Bronckhorst - 75 (82)
The Feyenoord full-back has given 14 years service to the Oranje and is in the form of his career. His wonder goal against Uruguay is sure to live on in Dutch football folklore for years to come.
CB - SPA - Carles Puyol - 86 (91)
The Barcelona defensive stalwart has been in fine form marshalling the Spanish defence, managing not only to smother the free-scoring German attack, but to score the winning goal, only the third of his international career.
CB - SPA - Gerard Piqué - 81 (87)
Alongside Puyol he has formed the best centre back pairing of the tournament. Despite his reputation for going to ground early, Piqué has silenced his critics with some strong displays in South Africa.
CB - HOL - Joris Mathijsen - 79 (83)
The Hamburg defender has been a shoe-in for the Oranje first team since 2008, forming the bedrock of a Dutch defence that has conceded just 5 goals in the tournament.
CDM - HOL - Mark van Bommel - 77 (83)
The Bayern Munich holding midfielder was out of favour under previous coach Marco van Basten, however new coach and father-in-law, Bert van Marwijk, convinced him to return to international duty. His dogged displays have allowed Sneijder and Robben to press forward with great effect.
CM - SPA - Xabi Alonso - 82 (87)
The former Liverpool man has been having a massive tournament, becoming the midfield anchor that has allowed the likes of Xavi and Iniesta to roam forward with impunity.
CM - SPA - Sergio Busquets - 75 (84)
Along with Xabi Alonso, Sergio Busquets has been dogged in his protection of the back four, his midfield nous managed to completely nullify the German counter attacking prowess that had been so effective in previous games.
CAM - HOL - Wesley Sneijder - 81 (87)
The diminutive Inter playmaker has had the season of his life winning everything in Italy. Not bad for a player who was unceremoniously dumped by Real Madrid. With five goals to his name already Sneijder is also a hot contender for the golden boot.
ST - GER - Miroslav Klose - 84 (88)
Klose continues to amaze with his World Cup performances. After a torrid season in the Bundesliga, Klose once again managed to perform when it matters most. His happy knack of being in the right place at the right time has seen the Bayern man fall just one goal short of matching Ronaldo's goal scoring record. He could still change that in Germany's third-place match against Uruguay.
LW - Holland - Dirk Kuyt - 82 (85)
Kyut's unmatched tenacity and relentless scampering have earned him the accolades of Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk. He may not have been grabbing the headlines but his efforts have quietly helped the progression of the Dutch campaign.
