The rumour mill is grinding on and the excitement of pre-season hype and rumour has got the fans itching to see who will be pulling on their colours next season. For every genuine transfer there are ten unsubstantiated rumours, this is why we love transfer season.
Despite the wild stories that begin to fly around the backrooms and press offices around this time every year, there have been some genuinely big transfers already this pre-season. Here is our list of the most interesting transfer team this week, and with the world cup over and the transfer market underway things should only get more interesting from now till the start of the season.
GK - Celtic to Fiorentina - Artur Boruc - 79
The Polish shot- stopper has been in fine form for the Bhoys and has clearly impressed Fiorentina manager Siniša Mihajlovic, who paid an undisclosed fee to bring him to the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
LB - Hambourg to Manchester City - Jérôme Boateng - 82 (78)
The versatile German defender had a fine World Cup and Manchester City have clearly been impressed with his performances last year. Manchester City paid £10.4 million to bring in Boateng on a five-year deal.
CB - Real Madrid to FC Schalke 04 - Christoph Metzelder - 74
The giant German had three years with Real Madrid and has now secured a move back to his native Germany and the team that nurtured him as a teen, FC Schalke 04.
CB - Bari to Juventus - Leonardo Bonucci - 74 (67)
The former Bari stalwart had an impressive season last year, so much so he attracted the attention of the Bianconeri who were looking to solidify their defence after the release of Fabio Cannovaro.
LM - Benfica to Real Madrid - Ángel Di María - 77
The Argentinean flyer has been catching the eye of many major clubs with his excellent performances for Benfica. Real Madrid managed to tempt him away from Portugal with a six year contract, reportedly paying Benfica €25 million.
CDM - Barcelona to Manchester City - Yaya Touré - 80
Roberto Mancini and his seemingly limitless funds have tempted yet another superstar to Eastlands. €24 million was enough to convince Barcelona to part with the player, who will supposedly command £220,000 a week from his new employer.
CDM - Chelsea to Bayer 04 Leverkusen - Michael Ballack - 85
The injured Germany captain may have had a disappointing year but Bayer 04 Leverkusen will be hoping that 2011 is a big year for the midfield powerhouse after snapping him up when his Chelsea contract expired.
CAM - Sporting to Porto - João Moutinho - 84
After five years with Sporting João, Moutinho moved to arch rivals Porto in a deal estimated to total €11 million. The gifted attacking midfielder is sure to hear a few boos in his next game at Sporting.
CF - FC Girondins de Bordeaux to Arsenal - Marouane Chamakh - 84
Arsene Wenger's eye for a bargain continues to impress, landing the Moroccan international striker on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling. Chamakh impressed in the 08/09 season at Bordeaux, helping them to prise the title from Lyon.
ST - Flamengo to Roma - Adriano - 81
After a mixed couple of years with Inter, Adriano returned to his naive Brazil after officially terminating his contract with Inter. After mounting personal problems he finally recaptured his form, scoring 19 goals in 30 games. Roma obviously have faith in Adriano's renaissance, bringing him in on a three-year contract worth €5 million per year.
RW - Stade Rennais FC to Lyon - Jimmy Briand - 81
The French star has been a target of many European clubs over the last few years. Having had an impressive start to the 08/09 season, Briand was sidelined with an anterior cruciate ligament injury. The injury excluded him from much of the 09/10 season but he still managed five goals in 23 games. Lyon reportedly paid €6 million for the forward.

CB - Stade Rennais FC to Monaco - Petter Hansson - 75
The Swede honed his craft with Stade Rennais for several years, where he caught the attention of AS Monaco. His continued improvement and battling spirit convinced Monaco, who offered him a contract after he announced he was quitting Stade Rennais.
CAM - AS Monaco to Paris Saint-Germain - Nenê - 75
The Brazilian forward had an impressive run of form with AS Monaco last year. On returning from his loan at RCD Espanyol he scored nine goals in 10 games for Monaco. Nenê, who has led the French scoring charts several times and is also known for his screaming free kicks, was snapped up by PSG for around €5.5 million.
ST - Leeds United to Everton - Jermaine Beckford - 74 (70)
There has long been speculation that the Leeds goal machine would be leaving the club and, after scoring 72 goals in 126 appearances, the big leagues came calling. Everton signed the prolific youngster on a free transfer offering him a four year contract; will he continue to improve in the Premiership?
ST - Getafe CF to Valencia CF - Soldado - 79
After a woeful run with Real Madrid, Soldado was shipped off to Getafe CF where, despite the disappointments of Madrid, he excelled by netting 29 goals in 60 appearances. His fine form got the attention of Valencia who were in search of a striker to fill the void left by the sale of David Villa.
CDM - Hannover 96 to Bayer 04 Leverkusen - Hanno Balitsch - 79 (71)
The highly rated midfielder has joined the highly ambitious Bayer 04 Leverkusen squad as cover for injury magnet Simon Rolfes. His sure to form a formidable partnership with another new midfielder in Michael Ballack.
