The transfer season is getting busy, the cheque books are out and the battle for signatures is on.  All across the football world, players, managers and agents are looking for that next deal. Spain in particular is busy this week, with big name players heading to the big two clubs, the rest of league is scrambling to find replacements.  Italy too has seen a streak of players moving clubs as Seria A begins to get down to business.

LW - Birmingham to Coventry - Gary McSheffrey 74
The season forward returns to the Sky Blues after helping Birmingham reach the premier league and a mixed loan spell at Leeds.

ST - Palermo to Napoli - Edinson Cavani 77
The 24 year old striker is hot property after a strong World Cup with Uruguay, after much speculation 'El Matador' has agreed to join the Partenopei.

CM - Palermo to Roma -  Fábio Simplício 77
The Giallorossi managed to pick the Brazilian up on a free transfer after his contract with the Sicilians expired, he will reportedly earn €1.8m per season for the next three years.

CB - Arsenal to Fulham - Philippe Senderos 76
The Swiss Fullback helped shock Spain in their opening game of the World Cup, his presence at Fulham will help fill the hole left by Smalling's transfer to Manchester United.

ST - FC Twente to Werder Bremen - Marko Arnautovic 77

CM - Cologne to Sporting - Maniche 78
The vastly experienced midfielder makes what is likely to be his last move back to his native land. He was released form his contract at Cologne and returns on a one year deal to Sporting.

RM - Getafe to Real Madrid - Pedro León 76
After impressive spells with Vallavoid and Getafe Pedro Leon was eventually sought out by Real Madrid who parted with €10 million to land the promising youngster.

ST- RCD Mallorca to Valencia - Aduriz 78
After impressive scoring ratios at both Bilbao and Mallorca, Valencia courted the forward as a replacement for the Barcelona bound Villa, paying Mallorca a estimated €4 million.

GK - Galatasaray  to  Real Zaragoza - Leo Franco 81
Zaragoza snapped up the Argentine Goalkeeper on a two year deal from Galatasary after the experienced goalie shone in his season in Turkey.

CAM - Napoli to RCD Espanyol - Jesús Dátolo 74
The Argentine attacking midfielder spent time at on loan at Olympiacos and is now on Loan at Espanyol, tough he is known to be looking for a permanent move to boost his international chances.

GK- Siena to Sampdoria - Gianluca Curci 79
After standout performances for Sienna, Curcli was signed by Sampdoria who were desperate to boost their options at goalkeeper ahead of their Champions League campaign.

RM - Chelsea to Liverpool - Joe Cole 79
The influential midfielder had a forgettable World Cup and and was looking the right club after an uncerimonious depature from Chelsea. Liverpool were delighted to offer him a £90,000 a week contract beating Tottenham and Arsenal to his signature.
