This week we talked about the end of the greatest show on earth, looking back over the past four weeks of football with a critical eye. So the tournament is over and whilst it may not have been an instant classic of a final, there was plenty of football to admire, and some that's best forgotten.

The end of the tournament has also seen Diego Forlan named as the Golden Ball winner. Undoubtedly Forlan has been in the form of his life, but do you think the right player was chosen? Germany's youthful goal machine Thomas Müller, Spain's midfield matador Iniesta, sharp-shooting David Villa or diminutive Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder all could have made fair claim to the Golden Ball.
