FIFA 10 will for the first time allow you to create your own bespoke set pieces, save them, and use them against your unsuspecting opponents. The new feature is a genuine first in any football game and will undoubtedly add a whole new dimension to the on-pitch action in FIFA 10, which, by the way, we can now tell you will arrive on 2 October.
FIFA 10's producers cite a very specific, very real goal as their main source of inspiration for the concept. If you're interested, it's the 1994 World Cup goal you can see at 2:12 in THIS video...
The new feature - accessible via the also-new Practice Arena - gives you complete control over your players, with the ability to assign a specific movement to every outfield player on your team one at a time, and then combine them for the perfect set piece.
Your resulting set-play masterpiece can then be activated in the game using the D-pad.
