Here's two groups of people who'll not want to imbibe too much eggnog over Christmas. Not that we really know what eggnog is. The fact it might have eggs in it would be enough to make us reach for the festive tinnies instead, if we're honest.
Anyway, that's one thing you can tell us about in the comments below if you like. The other is the relative merits of two teams aiming for big boosts to their Premier League seasons on Sunday when Aston Villa travel to London to take on Arsenal. The latter would probably be a bit more relevant, too.
Under gaffer Martin O'Neill, Villa are a true force to be reckoned with. They were at this time last year, too, a fact that many handily forgot after their lacklustre end to the season. Despite only two wins in their final 13 games, Villa still qualified for Europe in sixth place at the end of the year. They're definitely on track to exceed that achievement this year, and will probably do so at the expense of one of the established Big Four. Most likely, as it stands, that will be Liverpool. But it could also be Arsenal, and that's what Gunners chief Arsene Wenger will be looking to avoid on Sunday.
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is hoping to be fit for the Villa game, although we decided to simulate the game without him. It's too cold, see. He's hurt is leg, and have you SEEN the ice on the street? It's nightmare for legs out there. Just today I watched two people fall over just round the corner from the Burger King. Both of them made the same, "Ooh... wee-ah!" noise as they skated a bit before hitting the deck, which was actually very funny if I'm totally honest. However, if either of them had been Cesc Fabregas - which I'm pretty sure they weren't because neither of these women looked anything like him - then they'd have been putting themselves at serious risk of further injury and Wenger just wouldn't have allowed that with Van Persie still out of action and that is why Cesc Fabregas won't have been training properly and won't play on Sunday. Breathe. And that, people, is the science of prediction.
We Played It!
Villa will travel to London for this one feeling a bit more confident than their hosts, and that will show as they hold on to win what will be a tense encounter bossed by neither side.
John Carew - who will be playing the muscle role up front in place of Emile Heskey for Villa for the reasons demonstrated by the Burger King ladies above - will hit the post with the only clear chance of the first half. Arsenal, on the other hand, will own the game possession wise without ever threatening to penetrate a mean Villa defence.
Shots on target from both sides will come at a premium throughout, but it will be Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov who makes the difference after 70 minutes. An out-swinging corner for the visitors will be poorly cleared before landing on Petrov's right boot on the edge of the area, and he'll make no mistake firing it into Almunia's top-left corner. Stunning strike, stunning winner.
FINAL SCORE: Arsenal 0 - 1 Aston Villa
